DIY Sugar Scrub

Try this fun sugar scrub made.
I made it with Peppermint essential oil. This scrub takes only a few ingredients and can easily be customized with your favorite essential oils.
The Ingredients I Utilized:
¾ cup white sugar
12-15 drops of peppermint essential oil
The way I made this sugar scrub:
  1. First, I combined sugar and Fractionated Coconut Oil in a container.
  2. Next, I added 12 drops of peppermint essential oil!

Super easy. You can even make more at once… this is a great gift to make with your oils and is very cost effective to make… in order to pamper yourself! 🙂

Oh, and here is a link to the video going over how to do it!

A Natural “Sunscreen” Recipe

Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make my very own natural sunscreen. So I made it using these ingredients:

10 drops of lavendar

I also used a glass jar

1 tablespoon of pomegranate oil

3/4 cup of coconut oil-fractionated

2 tablespoons of shea butter

2 tablespoons of Zinc oxide

The steps I took:

Combined

all ingredients except zinc oxide in the jar. I then placed a saucepan with a couple inches of water on the stove over medium/low heat. Next, I placed the jar in the saucepan and stirred the contents until everything starts to melt. When the ingredients are combined, I then added the zinc oxide and stirred it really well. Fina

lly, I put the jar in a cool area. This is what I use to prevent sunburns for myself and my kiddo. 🙂

Just recently I’ve started using this diaper rash cream they just came out with because it has the ingredients that can help suppor

t against sun burns too.

Naturally Whitening Clothes-My “Non-Bleach”

Awhile back I switched out the chemical cleaners I’d been using in my home. Once I found out how bad they are for many reasons… I “converted.” I love making all kinds of different concoctions for things I would have needed to go out and buy. What I want to bring into my home is more positive vibes and good healthy habits!

To keep my white clothes white I use either baking soda, vinegar, borax, lemon juice, hydrogen peroxide, or Lemon Essential Oil Drops (5 per load) which can all naturally promote whitening. Add ½ cup of any of these cleaners to each wash cycle to keep your clothes white. For an extra powerful whitening solution you will want to mix in ½ cup vinegar and ½ cup borax to your white loads.

So, as you can see super easy and cheap! 🙂

Lemon EO
